Not every backlink is doing something.
Most tools count links and hand you a generic authority number. SEORCE scores what your linking sources are actually worth, including their Citation Potential, an estimate of how likely the linking source is to be referenced by AI systems, and builds every view on a live index of 7.5 trillion pages discovered and 44.7 trillion links tracked.
A backlink isn't valuable because it exists. It's valuable for what it contributes: authority, topical relevance, trust, referral traffic, and the odds it gets you cited when an AI engine answers a question. That's what Link Impact Score actually measures.
Our live link index, by the numbers.
Every score, gap analysis and checker result on this page is built on the same index. This is the foundation, updated continuously, not a snapshot taken once and left stale.
Figures as reported by SEORCE, September 2026.
A link count isn't a link strategy.
Chase volume and you'll build a lot of links that don't move anything. Watch a generic authority score and you still won't know which of your links a search engine trusts, or whether any of them help you get cited when someone asks an AI a question instead of typing a search.
A single authority number per domain. Higher looks better. It doesn't say whether that domain is ever likely to get you into an AI-generated answer, or whether your anchor text is drifting into a pattern a search engine flags as manipulative.
A quality-weighted score per domain, a separate estimate of AI-citation likelihood, an anchor risk read, a spam flag, and where you're losing equity to redirects or disappearing links entirely.
A backlink isn't a number. It's a network of sources, signals, destinations and changes.
Four questions cover almost everything worth knowing about a backlink profile. Every capability on this page answers one of them.
Backlinks don't come from "the internet." They come from specific domains, pages and networks.

SEORCE doesn't build links for you, and doesn't pretend link building is an automation problem. It identifies gaps, scores sources, flags risk, and hands the decision to your team with the reasoning already done.
Citation Potential is the estimate, made before outreach. AI Beacon is the observation, measured after. Treat them as two different steps, not one promise.
Link Impact Score. Built around Citation Potential, not just authority.
LIS is SEORCE's own quality-weighted score for every domain linking to you. It's paired with Citation Potential, an estimate of how likely that domain is to actually get referenced inside an AI-generated answer. Two links with the same authority number can carry very different Citation Potential, and that gap is what a generic score misses.
↑ HIGH CITATION POTENTIAL
The priority zone, high LIS and high Citation Potential together, is where outreach effort actually pays off twice: it lifts ranking trust and improves your odds of being the source an AI engine quotes.

What is SEORCE Backlinks?
Backlinks is SEORCE's link intelligence engine, built on a live index of 7.5 trillion pages, 724 million root domains and 44.7 trillion links. It checks any domain's backlink profile, scores link quality with the proprietary Link Impact Score and Citation Potential, flags anchor text and toxic link risk, compares link profiles against up to five competitors, tracks page-level link equity including redirect loss, and monitors lost links for reclamation.
Key facts
- Live index: 7.5 trillion pages discovered, 724 million root domains, 44.7 trillion links

- Backlink checker works for any domain or URL, not only tracked projects
- Anchor text is classified by type and checked for over-optimisation risk
- Every linking domain carries a spam score, with high-risk sources flagged for review
- Gap analysis compares your profile against up to five competitors
- Page-level tracking surfaces link equity lost to redirect chains

Frequently asked about Backlinks.
7.5 trillion pages discovered, 724 million root domains, and 44.7 trillion links tracked. That's the index every backlink check, gap analysis and quality score is built on.
A proprietary, quality-weighted score for each domain linking to you. Unlike a raw authority number, it's built to reflect whether a link is actually doing something, not just where a domain sits on a generic scale.
An estimate of how likely a linking domain is to be referenced directly inside AI answers, not just how it ranks in search. It's paired with LIS so you can prioritise links that help with both ranking trust and AI-era discoverability.
Yes. The backlink checker works against the live index for any domain or URL, whether or not it's a tracked project.
Yes. Every linking domain carries a spam score, and domains with a high concentration of spam signals are flagged for review, rather than finding out after a ranking drop. A high spam score is a review signal, not an automatic disavow recommendation.
Yes, against up to five competitors per project. Gap analysis surfaces domains linking to them but not to you, ranked by opportunity score, authority and outreach difficulty.
Yes. Anchor text is classified as brand, exact match, generic, naked URL or suspicious, and the profile is checked for the kind of concentration that looks manipulative to a search engine.
Yes. Page-level tracking shows which pages earn the most links and flags cases where a backlink points at a redirecting URL, an old path or a non-canonical destination instead of the current live page.
Lost links are tracked separately from active ones, so you can see what disappeared and prioritise outreach to reclaim or replace it, rather than only noticing months later in a lower link count.
Not from the link index alone. SEORCE reports what the crawl finds and, where Search Console is connected, what Google has confirmed. It doesn't claim to know a third-party engine's internal index state beyond what that connected data shows.
Rank is one output. Backlinks also show which external sources recognise your pages, where your authority is concentrated, what competitors have that you don't, and how that footprint changes over time, all of which shape how resilient a ranking actually is.
Yes. Link Impact Score evaluates source quality and Citation Potential adds an AI-visibility dimension, then competitor gap analysis surfaces domains you don't have yet and ranks them by opportunity.
No. SEORCE identifies gaps, scores sources, flags risk and hands the decision to your team with the reasoning already done. It doesn't control another site's backlink, so it doesn't pretend link building is an automation problem.
SEORCE doesn't declare a profile natural or unnatural. It surfaces patterns, such as anchor concentration or spam exposure, that deserve investigation, and leaves the judgement call to you.
