Internal Link Extractor

Extract every internal link from any page, with anchor text, likely location (nav / main content / footer), nofollow / rel attributes, and whether it points to a current page or a 404-looking URL. Export as CSV for review.
Technical SEO Intelligence
Nav and footer links dominate internal link graphs: content links are where the real optimisation sits.
A category page probably gets 150+ identical anchor links from the sitewide footer. Those don't move rankings. The 5 to 15 content-area links across your top 20 informational pages do. This extractor separates them so you can audit the links that matter.

Frequently asked questions
Why extract internal links?
Audit anchor text distribution, find pages orphaned from the main nav, identify over-linked pages, review nofollow usage.
What is "orphan" page?
A page not linked from anywhere on the site. Google may discover it via sitemap but it inherits zero internal link equity.
What anchor text matters most?
Content-area links from topically-related pages. Nav and footer links also pass equity but with less relevance signal.
What is anchor cannibalisation?
The same anchor text pointing to multiple URLs from the same page. Dilutes the signal and confuses which page should rank.
Should I use nofollow on internal links?
Rarely. Nofollow on internal links wastes crawl paths. Reserve it for user-generated content links or paid links.
What is a "money page"?
A commercially important URL (pricing, product, service page). Audit internal links to money pages: they usually need more.
How many internal links per page is too many?
Google treats pages with over 100 links as diluted. Enterprise homepages often have more. Keep each link intentional.
What is PageRank sculpting?
The old practice of nofollowing internal links to concentrate link equity. Google changed how nofollow is treated in 2009 so it no longer works. Simpler site architecture is the modern approach.
How does the tool categorise links?
Nav, main content, sidebar, footer: based on parent element heuristics. Not perfect but a useful first cut.
Does the tool follow pagination?
Not automatically. Each URL audits only itself.
Can I bulk-extract from a sitemap?
Not in this tool. Combine with the Sitemap Indexability Checker to walk the sitemap, then extract links page by page.
