GSC Export Analyser

Upload any Google Search Console performance export CSV. See the position distribution, striking-distance opportunities, under-performing CTR, and keyword cannibalisation. Entirely client-side: your data never leaves the browser.
Analytics Intelligence
The three findings that pay for themselves inside the first month: most teams never look for them.
Striking-distance keywords ranking position 11 to 20 can be lifted to page one with targeted internal links. Pages with high impressions and below-expected CTR usually need a title and meta rewrite. Multiple pages ranking for the same query is a signal of cannibalisation. This analyser surfaces all three from one export.

Frequently asked questions
What does this tool do?
Takes a Google Search Console performance export CSV and surfaces striking-distance keywords, CTR under-performers, and query cannibalisation.
How do I get the CSV from GSC?
Search Console and Performance and click Export and CSV. Works for Queries, Pages, or combined tabs.
What is a striking-distance keyword?
A keyword ranking position 11 to 20 with meaningful impressions. Lift it to page 1 and the traffic gain is immediate.
What CTR curve does the tool use?
The 2024 Advanced Web Ranking + Backlinko combined CTR curve: position 1 ≈28%, position 10 ≈2.3%. Any ranking at least 40% below curve is flagged.
How does the tool detect cannibalisation?
Queries where the same term appears with multiple pages ranking. For true cross-page cannibalisation use the Pages tab in GSC and export that.
How recent should the data be?
Last 90 days typically. GSC gives up to 16 months. Use 28 days for monthly reporting, 90 for quarterly.
Does the tool store my data?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Reload the page and the data is gone.
What CSV size can I upload?
Up to about 25MB in-browser. The 1000-row filtered export from GSC is well within that.
Why 1000 rows from GSC?
The GSC UI exports at most 1000 rows per filtered view. For more use the GSC API or Looker Studio connector.
Can I compare two periods?
Not with this tool. GSC itself has period comparison; export both periods separately.
What is a "query under-performer"?
A keyword with impressions above a threshold whose actual CTR is more than 40% below the expected CTR for that position. Usually a title or meta description issue.
