What are the essential OG tags?

1200×630 is the broadly-accepted standard. Twitter accepts 1200×675. One image at 1200×630 works for both platforms.
Why does the preview differ by platform?
Each platform (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, WhatsApp) has slightly different crop ratios, title lengths, and image handling. The tool previews each.
How often do platforms refresh the OG cache?
Facebook caches for 30 days. Use Sharing Debugger to force a refresh.
